Jeannie was one of the kindest, funniest people I have ever known. The time we spent working together at West Middle School was the best. When the fire happened Jeannie and I were there cleaning up. She called us two old broads with a hand truck.

Aunt Jeannie was one of the funniest, most beautiful people I have ever known. Her infectious smile is one no one could ever resist. I'll never forget the Christmas cookies filling the dining room table every year. I'll miss absolutely everything about her.

Jeannie was the best person to have as the face of Columbia Elem. My daughter attended Columbia. May her family find peace in knowing how many lives she touched with her smile and genuine love for her students. Lori Lujan

I first met Jeannie in 1999 when I joined the staff at Columbia Elementary. She was the head of our social committee and the place was never the same after her retirement. We became dear friends over the years and I will miss her dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Jim.

My Aunt, Evelyn Ferguson Carter, was also Jeannie and Jim's aunt. I knew Jeannie mostly through messages to and about our Aunt Evelyn since I am her caregiver. The Jeannie I have come to know was very sweet, talented and caring. Aunt Evelyn has Alzheimer's, but she is very fond of both Jeannie and Jim and she has expressed sadness and we have been praying for Jim. We were truly blessed to have known such a wonderful woman. We are praying for God's comfort and peace for Jim and his family.
