Jedediah Patton Obituary

Jedediah "Jed" Joseph
Patton
November 1, 1991
October 27, 2023

Jedediah "Jed" Joseph Patton, Age 31, of Colorado Springs, CO, sadly left us on October 27th, 2023.
Jed was born on November 1st, 1991, to parents Velma and Elvin Patton in Colorado Springs, CO.
Following graduation from Palmer High School in 2010, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served with pride as an infantryman which included tours in Afghanistan and Okinawa during his service. Upon his honorable discharge he became a proud member of Local Union #58 Plumbers, Pipefitters & HVAC.
Jed will always be remembered for his good heart, fun-loving spirit, wonderful sense of humor, and his love for his family. He was generous, loyal, and brave. Jed was an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding ATV's with his family and friends. He loved all genres of music and could sing like an angel. He often spoke with pride about his time in the Marines and belonging to the Pipefitters Union, his Union brothers and sisters, and the work he did there.
Jed is survived by his beloved family: wife Elizabeth Kennedy; mother Velma Wycoff and her husband Kenneth; father Elvin Patton and his life-partner Laura; brother Brandon Taylor and his wife Kate with children Ian and Emma; and sister Michelle Meurer and her husband Brett with children Tucker and Addison; grandmothers Dorothy Patton and Ruth Pihl; plus an infinite number of friends.

Jed and family,

I had the honor of serving with Jed during his time in the Marines. He was a fun loving, hard working Marine, that everyone loved. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Jedediah and I only met twice, but he definitely made an impression. Always nice, always funny. He will be so missed by those who loved him. Semper Fi Marine.

Jed had a personally unlike anyone I've ever met. He was always the life of the party, and had a way of annoying you one moment, and then making you cry-laughing and forgetting why you were even mad a few seconds later. When we were kids he would tell me stories of people I never met, like the lunch lady at his elementary school, that had my my face red and laughing til I couldn't breathe. His personality and story-telling only grew as he got older. Anytime I visited someone in the family and he wasn't around, I would always hear stories of the antics he got up to or jokes that he cracked. Jed was just always been that ultra-charismatic guy that left an impression on people, truly a unique soul. I'm deeply saddened by his passing and will truly have life-long memories of the funny guy he was. His family will miss him dearly.
