JEFFEREY PEARSON JENKS
April 30, 1957 April 14, 2020
Jeffrey Pearson Jenks was born on April 30, 1957 to Mary Clare and Bill Jenks. He left this earthly life on April 14, 2020. He is survived by his parents, his brother, Steve (Lisa), his sister, Debbie Jenks Bogart, his former wife, Lisa, and his three children, Colin (Corey), Ryan (Ashley) and Kate.
Jeff graduated from Williams College in 1979 and from the University of Cincinnati's College of Medicine in 1986. After a residency at Ohio State University, he moved to Colorado Springs in 1993. He fell in love with this city the first time he visited and spent 25 years practicing physical medicine and rehabilitation, running in the open spaces, and creating a family here. We will remember him as an accomplished marathon runner, skier, and road biker, in addition to being a skilled, compassionate and highly intelligent physician. Those who knew him best, know he was a loving father who valued being with family and friends and who was intensely proud of his three children.
He instilled in his children a love for traveling the world, for being in the Colorado mountains, for cliff jumping into the Georgian Bay, for fly fishing and for nightly walks with Labrador Retrievers.
Service arrangements will be made at a future date. His children have requested that donations be made in Jeff's name to Safe Harbor Lab Rescue at safeharborlabrescue.org

I came across his obituary when I was looking to schedule with him . I´m saddened he is no longer with us. It´s been several years since I last saw him. Dr Jenks was an amazing Dr to me . He treated me kindly, with compassion and he believed me when I spoke of my spinal pain. He was very helpful, He was a kind spirited human being. And is missed!

So sorry to see this. I went to Dr. Jenks years ago, he was knowledgeable about fibromyalgia when few docs were back then. I´ll never forget when he connected a nerve type pain near my knee to the fact that I´d gained weight but not gotten new underwear. That is an astute doctor. RIP Dr. Jenks.

I was looking for you, referring my mom to you when I came across the news of your passing. It’s been 7-8 years since I worked with Dr. Jenks. He was a great doctor and an even better person. I really enjoyed working with him. He had me in tears, laughing often. I looked forward to the days I knew he was the doctor I would be working with for the afternoon . He cared greatly about his patients. Colin, Ryan, and Kate, he loved you all so much. He talked about you three every time I saw him. I am sorry for your loss. The medical profession lost a great doctor and the world lost a good human. May he Rest In Peace.

I was so saddened to find Dr. Jenks obituary while searching for him to refer someone. He was a WONDERFUL Dr who truly cared about his patients. He was just a great guy, period. He was the one who finally figured out what was causing all my pain after many visits to other Drs. He was great at what he did. I’m so sorry for your loss. The world’s loss is heavens gain. Rest In Peace Dr Jenks. Thank you for making such a positive impact in my life!

Dr. Jenks was my doctor for quite awhile. I really enjoyed seeing him every time I went. He went to bat for me with the insurance company I was dealing with at that time. I really missed having him as my doctor. He was a very nice man and I will pray for your family as I am certain he is greatly missed

I had the honor and pleasure of working with Dr. Jenks as his transcriptionist for many years. He was a very hardworking, caring, and compassionate physician. He often went to bat for his patients writing letters to insurance companies on their behalf. The world has lost a good man. I was fortunate to have known him. God speed, Dr. Jenks.

To Lisa, Colin, Ryan, and Kate: my heart breaks for you at this difficult time. But in your own efforts, your character, your empathy, you pay the greatest respect to Jeff. I can attest that my work with you has made me a better teacher, a better person. Every time you treat another with compassion, with decency, you honor your father. Warmest always.

I'm very sorry to learn of this; Jeff and Lisa gave my son, Trevor, his first babysitting responsibilities back when we all lived in Woodmoor; they were very kind to him.
