Being at Jeff's memorial service showed the amazing strength of your faith. It also let us all peek into a window of your lives to see what an amazing father and husband Jeff was. No words can express the depth of the loss you feel. However, know that your memories will be with you forever and your friends' love will help you get through this difficult time.

Jeff was an amazing man, and we felt privileged to get to know him just a little during the short time that we had. Our memories of Jeff will be of his tremendous strength. No matter what was going on, he persevered, and our hearts were encouraged with every day he came outside to shovel snow or grill. We will also remember Jeff as being clearly a man of great love and care. We watched him nurture his yard and plants. Even more, we watched him nurture his daughters - coaching them and cheering them on from his driveway as they played basketball outdoors. I believe he has left an indelible mark on everyone who has known him. We will watch his legacy continue to grow with the trees and flowers in his yard. And we will watch his legacy continue to grow in his amazing, beautiful, and talented daughters. I believe we will watch his legacy continue to grow in all of us who were touched, encouraged, inspired, and humbled by his life. He will be deeply missed. God bless.

Our thoughts are with you. The pain will never really be gone, but it will lessen as time goes by. A loved one is never really gone when you remember the times you shared and loved.

Jeff was amazingly patient and kind. Our favorite memory was him baking with the little girls. I see his smile, his eyes, his dimples, his heart, and his light every day in the faces of his daughters. He will forever be remembered and loved.

Jeff Gammill is my hero. He knew that when you are close to Christ, when you hear that still, small voice, that you can be at peace with difficult decisions. Jeff made those difficult decisions, and in doing so reminded me each and every day that my job is to listen to that still, small voice and do what is right. Being right doesn't mean doing what everyone else would do or what others would have us do. Being right means being right with God, and sometimes that leads us into territory that too many others fear to tread. God never said we wouldn't go into the valley of the shadow of death, but we are reminded of something Jeff knew in his heart - that we needn't fear evil because God is with us. Jeff is my hero, not because he was perfect, but because he knew God would fix any imperfections. He is my hero because he did a wonderful job with Cris in raising the most kind, compassionate daughters I have ever known, and in doing so will continue to touch lives far beyond his own reach and beyond his own short life. Jeff always thought of others as well, even with suffering that would have made most of us permanently self-pitying. I know because more than once I was on the receiving end of that thoughtfulness. His lesson of putting others first has found a permanent home in Cassie, Shelby, Emily, and Britani. Even though he has left an unfillable space here on earth, I am glad that Jeff is now enjoying an eternal life in heaven. His courage and deep love of his family and God have etched a permanent smile on my heart.
