Jeffrey Orr Obituary
Jeff, age 45 passed away after a two and a half year battle with brain cancer. He was born in Colorado Springs, October 2, 1963 and attended schools in Colorado Springs. Jeff entered the Navy in1980 and after he completed his tour worked as a truck driver and a Land Surveyor. He worked as a Land Surveyor until he became ill. He was preceded in death by his grandparents William and Myrtle Orr, Chester and Cynthia Wiegert and his sister Christina (Orr)(Kennady)Stevens. He is survived by his parents Ronald and Betty Orr; brothers, Robert and Gregory Orr of Colorado Springs. Also by his children, Nicholas, Rachel, Cheyenne, Chelsea and three grandchildren, Rivers, Dottie and Khayshia; his step-grandmother, Irene Wiegert and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and darts. The family would like to thank all of Jeff's friends, the staff of the Colorado Cancer Center and Pikes Peak Hospice for all their loving care and kindness. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 30, 2008 5: 00pm – 7:00pm, Rosary at 6:30pm at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be on Monday December 1, 2008 @ 10:00 AM at Holy Apostles Catholic Church. Internment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers please make a donation in Jeff's name to Pikes Peak Hospice.

Jeff was a great friend and we will miss him terribly, especially the times he came over for dinner and him and my family would do what Jeff called "Kickin' it". We would eat, watch movies and have some good conversation, just all around fun. Jeff was like a brother to me and working with him was the best time of my career. He taught me alot and was the best Party Chief I ever worked for. Our condolences to Ron and Betty and the rest of his Family and Friends. People like Jeff only come around once in a lifetime. He is with the Lord now and no longer suffering. And for those of us who believe, we will someday see him again.

My deepest sympathy to the Orr family. Jeff has alway had a special place in my heart ever since we met in the Navy. He was a major part in my life then and I have never forgotten him. Although we had lost track of each other for 20 years we manage to find each other again in 2004 and stayed in touch most of 2005 via phone calls. I am so glad I was blessed to see him again then. It saddens my heart to hear of his passing.
