Jens Chris "Tim" Miller

September 11, 2025

Jens Chris ("Tim") Miller passed away September 11, 2025.
His generous and cheerful spirit will be missed by new and longtime friends, and especially the McLeod clan, Franklin and McKiernan families.
Tim's youth was spent in the Northwest, Port Angeles, WA.
As a young man, he joined his sister Lucy's family in Colorado Springs where he worked and lived for the next 65 years. Last year, he moved to the state of Maine, to be near his sister Sonia's family.
Those who knew Tim knew his remarkable energy and enthusiasm for gardening, fixing (anything), and helping out. Neighbors received fresh dahlia/snapdragon bouquets from his garden. He scattered carrots among the flower beds for his "little buddies" (rabbits). His passion and amazing fund of knowledge regarding historical and current infrastructure of the Colorado Springs area (mining, railroads, land acquisitions) left us asking, "How the heck did he know all this?!".
Tim suffered his physical challenges with positivity and optimism. In every community Tim called home, neighbors and staff alike were the objects of his friendly "teasing in good fun" personality. He always said his goal was to "bring a smile" to others.
Tim is predeceased by his mother, Dagny Palmquist; father, Jens Miller; sister, Avon Barquist; and brother, Roger Pearson. He is survived by his sisters, Lucille McLeod (Colorado Springs), and Sonia Franklin (Maine), numerous nieces and nephews and his kind friend, Nikki.
Thank you, Tim, for the time you spent with us.
