CSM Jerald Theron Hansz, age 92, died peacefully at home in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Thursday, December 21, 2023. He served his country in the Oklahoma National Guard and the United States Army. He retired as a Command Sergeant Major. He is survived by his brother, Marion Lee Hansz and three nephews along with their famiies. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sumiko (Kamigasa) Hansz, his devoted daughter, Linda Susan Wren, and her late husband, James Thomas Wren, and Sharon (Ruckman) Hansz.
Jerry loved airplanes and trains. He gave countless hours and means to his hobby with the Pikes Peak Division Model Railroading Club.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Falcon Baptist Church 11095 Eggar Road Falcon, CO 80831.
