Dad there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you! Love you with all my heart!

Dad it has been a terrible 8 years without you. I miss you and love you so much.

I remember you well back in the 70's! A very good cop who was always fair and kind and again not judge mental of race creed or color. You touched alot of lives and made them better! RIP....

Dear Mrs. Busemeyer,
My wife/Fran Bancroft-Duarte, deceased, and I had the honor/privilege to serve under Jerry 1974-1980. He was a Blessing in our marriage and lives! God Bless your family.

Mr. Busemeyer was an amazing man who was loved, honored and respected by many. His wonderful spirit will always be in your heart to carry with you each day. Sending continued prayers to all the family.

My condolences to the Busemeyer and the CSPD family on the passing of Lt. Busemeyer. He was an instructor I had way back when the City changed the criteria of how people became security guards.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. Jerry the best. As a rookie on the CSPD I looked up to him and he was a terrific mentor. He will be missed by all the hundreds that knew him.

Jerry was so soft spoken and funny and he always put a smile on my face no matter what. I loved Jerry. He will truly be missed. What a Great Guy.

Please accept my deepest sympathy over your loss of Jerry. My words are lacking when attempting to describe Jerry's infectious personality and his desire to be helpful in any way. His generosity and compassion for his fellow man was exceptional. He sought no recognition for his deeds of kindness and extraordinary thoughtfulness. His works of Godliness have gone on for decades behind the scenes with only the recipients sometime knowing a little history behind the gift. Much like the parish priest who works quietly without fan-fair behind the scene.

I was 14 when I first met Jerry. My folks had just bought a restaurant on Nevada and he was at that time walking the the area He would come in for a cup of coffee and would buy a cup for a soldier or a down and out person. He was so kind and soft spoken and always willing to help wherever. He would take time to listen but was never judgemental. He was a great cop.

Sgt. Busemeyer, it is with great sadness that I learned of your passing. You have made an impact on so many lives without really knowing it. I remember your kind face, your strength, your gentle humor, your smile, and the fact that although you were doing your job, you were never judgmental toward anyone. I came to know you as a pre-teen into my early 20's when my married life took me to California, but you were never forgotten in my memories.
