Jerry J. Baur passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024 with his family around him. Jerry was born on July 13, 1930 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jerry attended Arsenal High School in Indianapolis and then Indiana University where he earned his MBA in 1953.
After his stint in the US Army, Jerry joined the working world with General Electric Company as an Employee Relations Intern. In 1968 he moved to Colorado Interstate Gas Co in Colorado Springs, Colorado until 1973. CIG went through a forced merger with Coastal States Co. He continued his Human Resource chosen career with Florida Power and Light Co until his early retirement in 1990. The family then returned to God's Country, Colorado.
Since retiring, he has joined First Presbyterian Church. He has enjoyed may old friends, playing bridge (earning his Life's mater's), playing golf and teaching at Webster University for 23 years. While serving on the Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees, he assisted in developing a Pay for Performance for the employees.
In 1966, he married Sandy, who has been the love of his life. We are blessed with two wonderful kids. Tim, our son, is a successful Program Manager in Atlanta, Georgia. His wife, Sue and two great boys complete their family. Terri, our daughter, has four great kids (two boys and two girls) - with her husband Pete being an airline pilot live in Wellington, Florida. Our 3rd child, Tammie, died at age 7, was the most tragic happening to our family.
Memorial services for Jerry will be held at a location and time that is to be determined.
