Jerry Partin Obituary

Jerry Lynn Partin, 74, of Clinton, Arkansas, passed away March 10, 2016. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Jerry McClelland Partin and Flora Ann Stevens Partin, she retired as a supervisor at Louisiana State University after 30 years of service. She was an active member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge in Baton Rouge and in Port Allen until relocating to Clinton, Arkansas. She volunteered for five years as a grant writer and coordinator for The Dove House, a domestic violence and abuse safe house for women in Clinton, Arkansas. She is survived by her children, Flora Jarrell (Glenn) of Kentwood, Louisiana, Benjamin Joseph Dedon of Krotz Springs, Louisiana, Betty Lynn Dedon of Clinton, Arkansas and Frances "Misti" Jo Gourgues of Port Allen, Louisiana; sister, Pauline Achord (Huey) of Baton Rouge; brother, Larry Wayne Partin of Livingston, Louisiana; twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Kenneth Partin, sister, Barbara Lear, grandson, Clay Minson, and the father of her children, Joseph Dedon. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016, from 10am until service at 1pm, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd.
