Jesse Candelaria Obituary

Brother Jesse, another year has passed and yet it feels like yesterday. 1/8/2023 marks 14 years since you left us. I miss you so much and I cry every time I hear certain songs that remind me of you. My heart will forever be missing a piece, that belongs to you. I also smile often when I think of you. You were such a character and always made us laugh. I hate that you left us too soon. I know I will see you again. I pray that you will continue to watch over us all, especially your beautiful Granddaughter Charlie. I love and miss you Brother.

I would like to take the time to share some great memory's I have of my favorite Uncle,Jesse Candelaria. I never thought this day would come. I have lots to share,but I will most of all always remember that my older brother Johnnie and I will be best known as Walley and the Beaver. The night my mom called me to tell me my Uncle Jessie had passed, was the time my world fell apart. I lost not only an Uncle,Friend,a family member,but most of all one of my MENTOR'S. A person I Honored as an Uncle will forever be in my memory. He is now resting in PEACE in Heaven with my Grandpa and other Uncle Geno, who I never had a chance to meet, but got to be HONOERD to have my name after them both. He is also dancing again with my Grandma Delores Candelaria a person who will always be one of the LOVE OF MY LIFE. I would like to also take the time to Thank everyone Who came into my Uncle Jesse's life. You made his life a get MEMORY for us all. I want to give a Prayer out to my Family, all my Uncles,Aunts,Cousins,and MOST OF ALL MY MOMMA. We lost a very IMPORTANT part of our family chain, Just remember that this just goes to show that we still got each other down here and the ones we lost, there LEGACY will go on through us all. Jesse was like a brother to me;I have known him since 1980. I'll always remember when he would visit my mom and dad's home, he always had that onry look on his face. Jesse was such a happy person. i sure will miss him;may he rest in peace.

I LOVE YOU! From the time we knew that Jesse was sick we knew this day would come. We all pulled together and helped him fight his battle. We all held his hand and gave him our love. Because he was such a "momma's boy" we all seemed to baby him in our own way! The last few weeks and days were very hard on us all but we had each other and we were strong. I'm very proud of all of you and I want to say "Thank You" for all your love and support. We are now misssing Dad, Mom, Gene and Jesse but they are still with us, in our hearts, helping us to get through this very sad time, and they will be there to greet us at Heaven's door. Art and family: Jesse was a good man, and what else can you say about someone. I remember singing karaoke with him and having so much fun. We will all miss him so very much. Sing one for God, Jesse. I'm sure He will enjoy it.

My Beloved Brother, where do I begin. I love you so much and I will miss you. Leaving Colorado Springs today ( Wed, Jan 14 ) was so very hard for me. As I boarded the airplane I had such a heavy heart, a heart that had been shattered just knowing I was leaving you behind. But yet I had a smile on my face , knowing you were in a better place. I just wanted to send my condolencances. My fondest memeory of Jesse was when I was little and my dad and mom Tom and Mary Maestas lived exactley 2 houses up from your folks on Bijou St, I would stand in front of that big tree in front of Mr and Mrs Cookies house and tell Jesse I owned that tree, hed yell at me from the front door and tell me to go "home you little brat and get away from that tree LOL" Ill remember....he was good people! so with that said, Jesse, may you rest in peace and look my dad up. You and him will have a good time!

When Jesse was a young man he worked for our mom, Cecilia Kostka, who was the executive housekeeper at the Palmer House Motel here in the Springs. She always spoke well of Jesse and other of his family members that worked for her. She was so proud of them that she would always say, "I had a great crew". We all remember our working days with Jesse as well as the Palmer House Christmas parties. We express our sincere sympathy to all of the Candelaria family.
