Jesse Houston Obituary

Born: January 7, 1937 - Beckley WV Died: December 3, 2008 - Colorado Springs, CO Tex Houston, retired Air Force and longtime local resident passed away at home as the result of a heart condition. Tex is survived by his family: Mother, Bessie Houston; brother Jimmie Houston and sister Bobbie Tennant who live in Arizona and West Virginia. Tex will be buried at Arizona's National VA Cemetery in Phoenix. Tex had many friends and a celebration for him will be held at Solo's KC-97 Restaurant at 1300 Hrs, 24 Jan 2009.. all who knew Tex are welcome. We knew Tex for years and years. He was a special friend and a wonderful knowledge database. He is missed.

I worked with Tex in support of the BMEWS missile defense contract for ITT. I flew in the "Yellow Rose" with Tex and many of our friends. Tex was a good man and I looked forward to seeing him at the balloon classic each year. He will be missed.
