Jesse Lee Ortivez passed away unexpectedly July 19, 2021, in Colorado Springs. He was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on January 7, 1982, to Natal and Maureen Ortivez.
Jesse worked for Olson Plumbing & Heating Co. for 21 years. Throughout his career he built endless longstanding relationships with everyone in the industry. No call went unanswered, no job left incomplete, and no task was too large for this guy. Jesse went above and beyond in everything he did, and it did not matter what time of day or night, if someone needed help – he was there. The halls are not the same without the sounds of his laughter and his big, beautiful smile.
As dedicated as Jesse was to his job, his devotion to his family and close friends far surpassed that. His love for his sisters was unmatched. He devoted his life to their care and well-being and wanted nothing but the best for them. His huge heart showed in every relationship he had. It did not matter what you needed, if you called Jesse - he was there, unconditionally, every time. He was undoubtedly one of the best.
To truly know Jesse was to love him, and our lives will never be the same without him.
Jesse is survived by his grandmother, Louise Ortivez; sisters, Kayla Ortivez and Malena Ortivez; brother, Thomas Ortivez; mother, Maureen Ortivez; Aunt Lea and Uncle Ed Evangelista and their children; Aunt Sharon and Uncle Phil Points and their children; Aunt Dottie Ortivez and her children; Uncle Dan Callaghan and his children, and numerous cousins. Jesse also leaves behind his best friend, Isaac Rocha and his girlfriend, Kerie Currier. Our hearts are forever broken.
He is preceded in death by his father, Natal Ortivez; grandfather, Walter "Waldo" Ortivez; grandmother, Rita Callaghan; and aunt and uncle, Rene Ortivez and Kenny Ortiz.
He will be deeply missed by all.

To Jessie´s family, I don´t know if you´re aware how appreciated, loved and respected Jesse was in the professional communities he served. I can´t count the times he rescued me from major broken water main debacles, late night flooding, arriving so fast, day or night, and being so calming and steadfast. Over time, we became more friends and collaborators; we entrusted him to work in our elderly mom´s home and Kelly´s quirky business buildings. Everyone who encountered him became an immediate friend and felt so reassured and comforted. He treated all us property managers like family and we simply can´t imagine the sorrow his real family is going through. May God comfort you all.
