Jessica--from the first moment I met you when you were 11, you stole my heart with your clever wit, thoughtfulness, intelligence, and love. I have thought of you everyday since that moment and cherished every word you have spoken or written to me. Although I never met you, Ross, you must be someone truly special. I am heartbroken for you not only to have lost Jessica, but also the wonderful gift of Alyssa Hope. My deepest sympathies go out to you, Monika, Michael, Sarah, and all who were touched by Jessica. I will always love her.

"Of all experiences which life demands, there is, perhaps, none so grave, none so painful, as those born of endeavoring to face and comprehend the inescapable anguish, sorrow, sadness, and overwhelming grief associated with the loss of those dearly loved."

I wish to extend my deepest condolences to you Monika and to your family.

Jessica was one of my closest friends. She was one of the only people that I actually felt was real, and honest and caring. I've never met anyone like her, nor will I ever. I know that her and Alyssa are in a better place, where they will be together forever. I know that one day we will all meet again, so until then, Jessica I miss you, and wish that this didnt have to happen so soon.

Jessica and Aylssa,

You stole Ross’ heart,

And our family you became a part.

We didn’t get to meet you,

But our love for you is true.

A yellowtail butterfly came to me.

So beautiful for the eyes to see.

I believe she wanted me to tell,

That you and Alyssa are safe and well.

Then a small white butterfly came to join you.

Circling each other as you both flew.

So playful and beautiful as you played together.

Mother and daughter in the Lords arms forever.

We feel the physical loss.

No more so than Ross.

But we all believe and know,

That in Heaven you are Home.

Love,

Aunt Lu

Although I had never met Jessica, I felt like I knew her from the stories from Ross and the way his face lit up at the mention of her name. I so looked forward to her visiting us in Virginia and getting to know her. I am so sorry for the short time they had together, but a blessing to know that they both had found true love, friendship, and companionship. Although I can't be there tomorrow, know that my love, prayers, and spirit will be with you all. May all who loved Jessica find peace through their sorrow in knowing that God has promised that we will all be together again. Only then will I look forward to meeting the incredible young lady who could settle down our "nutty" Ross and steal his heart along with their precious Alyssa Hope. It's not goodbye, just, see you later!
