Jessie Foreman Obituary

Jessie Maureen Foreman, 90, died December 29th, 2009 at Pikes Peak Hospice after a short and courageous battle with complications resulting from a broken hip. Jessie was born in Forrest City, Arkansas on June 30th, 1919 to Minnie Ada Smith and James Allen Smith. Jessie met her husband George R. Foreman in King City, California and they were married in Forrest City, Arkansas on June 17th, 1942. Jessie and George were married for 65 years before George passed away in 2007. During her 65 year marriage, Jessie was a devoted wife and mother, raising four daughters and two sons with her husband who was a communications officer in the Air Force. She lived overseas with her family in England and Japan and in Oskaloosa, Iowa; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Colorado Springs. Jessie was a long time active member of the Grace Brethren Church. Survivors include daughters: Penny and her husband, Donald Potter, of Star Prarie, Wisconsin; Patty Riggs of Colorado Springs; Peggy and her husband, Alonzo Delidle, of Colorado Springs; Priscilla and her husband, Dave Crawford, of Lake Ridge VA; and son, Richard Foreman of Colorado Springs. She was predeceased by her husband, George in 2007; her son, James in 2002; her son-in-law, Stan Riggs in 2008; and a granddaughter, Beverly Conley. Jessie was greatly loved by her grandchildren: Donnie Potter, Lauren Potter, Randall Warlick, Russell Warlick, Ryan Warlick, Daven Delidle, Jason Foreman, Brenda Alberti and Chris Riggs. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. on January 23rd, 2010 at Grace Brethren Church, 2975 Jet Wing Dr, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Inurnment will be at Ft Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Memorial contributions may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice, 825 E. Pikes Peak Ave, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
