Jessie Marie Seymore Obituary
Jessie was born to Wesley Jamerson and Carrie "Warren" Jamerson on December 6, 1925, in Navasota, Texas. She attended Carver Elementary, Junior High, and High School, and graduated in 1944. She was married for 48 years to the love of her life, Fred Lee Seymore Sr. and they had eight children. Jessie worked several years with children as a dietician for Head Start and retired from Digital Equipment. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, talking on the phone, and reading God's word. Jessie was the first to say she lived a long and "Blessed Life". She was a virtuous woman who loved the Lord, and everyone she met she called "Friend". Many knew her as "Mother", "Nanny", "Grandma", and "Aunt".
Jessie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Audrey Elizabeth, and sisters Annie "Liz" Burrell, and Othella Love Humphrey.
She is survived by six sons Fred Lee Jr. (Kathy) (CO), Louis Charles (Collette) (IL), Kenneth (Iola), (TX), Larry (CO) Frank (Velma) (TX), Michael (TX), and one daughter Shirley Brown (David) (CO),11 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation is Friday, July 22, 2016 4:00pm-7:00pm at Angelus Chapel located at 1104 S. Circle Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80910. Services will be 11:00am on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at True Spirit Baptist Church located at 5120 Astrozon Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80916.
Interment at Memorial Gardens Cemetery

Mrs. Jessie as I knew her, will be missed! She was my neighbor for at least 10 years. I loved having her for a neighbor. She was a beautiful woman of God. She was very special to me.
When my parents needed to have more care with assisted living care. She reassured me. Always, pointing to our Lord and, his love. She always had a beautiful smile, and a warm loving heart, and embrace.
Her children took such good care of her. She loved then dearly! I remember how happy she was on her 90th Birthday having some of them coming out , meant the world to her. She was so happy!
She has now stepped from this life into eternity our home. And is reunited with her beloved husband of 48 years. She used to share with me how she missed him! Also, she is reunited with her children, and family who proceeded her. Mrs. Jessie enjoy your reward, thy good, and faithful servant!
