Jessie Sapp Obituary
He was born June 1, 1936 in Oviedo, Florida to the union of Isaac and Minnie (Knight) Sapp. Preceded in death by his parents, wife; Mary Sapp, brothers; Lonnie Sapp, Clarence Sapp, sister; Gwen Sapp.
He was united in marriage to Elnora Blanford in June of 1957 and they remained lifelong friends. Jessie was united in holy matrimony with Mary Wooldridge(deceased) on August 1983 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was a member of Fresh Start Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor John Harris.
Jessie served in the United States Air Force for twenty-eight years attaining the rank of Master Sergeant (E-7). He also served during the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts and was awarded numerous awards.
He enjoyed traveling, bowling, spending quality time with his family and was an avid Denver Bronco fan.
He leaves to cherish his memory daughter; Carmen Wilson, sons; Jessie J. (Diane) Sapp, Kenneth (May) Sapp and Brian (Arnessa) Sapp, sister; Lillie Sapp and a host of other relatives and loved ones.
Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 pm Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Angelus Funeral Directors, 1104 S. Circle Dr., Colorado Springs, CO.
Funeral Service 10 am Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Angelus Funeral Directors, 1104 S. Circle Dr., Colorado Springs, CO.
Interment Evergreen Cemetery with Full Military Honors by U. S. Air Force Honor Guard.
