Jethro Hanvey Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. Jethro "Jeff" Hanvey, 69, of Jacksonville, will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at First Baptist Church of White Plains. Rev. Eric Snider will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 am until time of the service. Burial will follow the service in Anniston Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hanvey passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Stacy Winn; his parents, John and Annie Hanvey; and his brother, John Hanvey. He leaves behind his loving wife, Cheryl Hanvey; children, Christy Taylor (Jody), Andrew Stark (Kara), Adam Hanvey (Krislyn); grandchildren, Bailey Brewer, Braden Taylor, Kymberlyn Duke, Ella Duke, Chloe Winn, Colton Stark, Jaxson Hanvey, Bryant Hanvey and baby Stark on the way; one sister, Sarah Kelley (Doug); several nieces and nephews. Jeff was passionate about God, Alabama Football and Hunting. He loved to talk to others about the Lord and the Bible. He had a big heart for mission work and was active in the jail ministry at church. He was a member of First Baptist Church of White Plains where he loved attending, loved the people, and loved to be there. In his free time, he loved to hunt, fish, and watch Alabama Football. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will always be loved and forever missed. Pallbearers will be Mr. Hanvey's friends.
