Jill Lewis Obituary

Lewis
Jill A.
Lewis
January 1, 1955
April 8, 2022

Jill Lewis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away at home on April 8, 2022. Jill was born a New Year's baby in Topeka, Kansas in 1955 and graduated from Topeka High School in 1973. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jo Ann (Falley) Alberg; father, John August Alberg; niece Jane Donaldson; and father-in-law James B. Lewis
Jill met the love of her life, Perry, working in the family business. They were married on May 27, 1976 and moved to Colorado Springs in 1979. Jill channeled her energies into becoming the ultimate homemaker, hockey mom, soccer mom, friend and supporter to many in her forty years of living in the Cheyenne Mountain area before moving into her dream home on the Mesa.
A gifted crafter, Jill enjoyed sharing these talents with her sisters. Made with love, these keepsakes will be forever cherished. After a decades long break, Jill rekindled a passion for golf that she enjoyed at the Kissing Camels Golf Club and earlier at Valley Hi Golf Club. Her ornery spirit and love for her family and friends will not be forgotten.
Jill is survived by her husband R. Perry Lewis; sons James Ryan Lewis and Robert Perry Lewis (Rachael); daughter Kimberly Jo Criddle (Justin); grandsons Dax and Wade Criddle, and Carter Lewis; sisters Julie May and Jan Pausewang; mother-in-law Shirley Lewis; sister-in-law Rebecca Schooler; and beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and her dog, Uri.
The family would like to thank all who offered prayers, encouragement, and support during Jill's battle with cancer. There will be a private memorial service at Evergreen Cemetery where she will be inurned at a later date.
In memory of Jill, contributions may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Box 4486, Houston TX 77210-4486 or www.mdanderson.org/gifts. Designation: Dr. Srour's research team.

Perry, Ryan, Bobby and Kimmie....

Jill, the rambunctious one, will be in our thoughts and prayers forever. She will always be with you as well.....we have many unfinished crafts to do and places to go....we will take her with us....and finish them at another time. Remember the love she gave to all...keeping a lot for yourselves.

To the Lewis family, I was so sad to learn of Jill's passing. As children we spent good times together at Grandpa Sam's farm and the Topeka Country Club swimming pool. My mother Marlene and Jo were first cousins, but she always loved Jo like a sister, and Jan, Jill and Julie were very special to her. Marlene is almost 90 years old, but would like to reconnect with her Falley family. Thinking of you in the sorrow of Jill's passing.
