Jimmie Lloyd Obituary

The Lloyd family regretfully announces the death of retired USAF Lt. Col Jimmie W. Lloyd on July 20th, 2014 at Penrose Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs. Jim was 83 years young when he passed away suddenly. He was born November 23, 1930 in Poland, Ohio and was the only child of Else Anderson and William (Bill) Lloyd.

In 1955 he married Myrna Faye Pugh, and had three sons; Robert, Gary, and Gregg. Jim had an outstanding career as an Air Force pilot, teacher, and considered himself a "philosopher."

Jim's surviving wife, Myrna Lloyd, and the rest of his family will be hosting a "Celebration of Life" ceremony on August 30, 2014 at 3 pm. at Liberty Heights Senior Living, 12105 Ambassador Dr., Colorado Springs, CO. Bring your stories and memories of Jim and let us raise a glass to toast the wonderful life he had.

Upon Myrna's request, all donations raised will be given to the "Wounded Warriors" Fund in honor of Jim Lloyd and his services to this great nation.

Jimmie was a pleasure to work with at the Colorado Springs Airport. I always enjoyed his entertaining stories. May you be blessed with beautiful memories of your loved one.
