Dawn, My wife and family were very sorry to hear about Jimmys passing. We haven't been in touch much since you moved to Colorado Springs, but we haven't forgot about you and your family. We would love to get in touch but we no longer know how to reach you. If you'd e-mail us at [email protected] we would like to write to you. When and if you would like to do that. Our hearts and prayers are with you and your family. Gary and Pat Scott, Houston, Tx.

Dawn and Family,
What a great gift it was to me to have met Jimmy with his infectious smile and deep love for all of you. I will always remember him telling me about his golf trip to St. Andrews and the illustrious people he golfed and shared lunch with.
May you gather strenght from your wonderful family and friends

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I knew Jimmy White as an unpretentious and gentlemanly executive engineering manager who unfailingly provided the wisdom, integrity and way ahead for those he led and who always recognized the best potential of others. Jimmy White was the winning proposal manager for Bendix Field Engineering/AlliedSignal [now Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc. (HTSI)] with subcontractor Unysis (now L-3) on the Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) Depot Support Contract I (DSC I) and the entrepreneurial leader of the "Original Five" visionaries who assembled in Colorado Springs in 1991/2 to initiate the effort which evolved into DSC II and grew dramatically into the $1.22B fifteen-year Satellite Control Network Contract (SCNC) that for nearly a decade has employed some 750 aerospace workers and subcontractors in Colorado Springs and elsewhere. Thank you, Jimmy White, for your forsight and leadership. My family and I will never forget you. Our prayers are for your family and many friends who mourn you now that you are no longer with us but who know that you will be with the Father forever.

Jimmy and I were in the same section at NASA for about 8 years and in the same division for over twenty years. It was always a pleasure to work with Jimmy and to know him. He was fine man and the world will miss him. I will always remember Jimmy and his kindness.
God bless Dawn and his family.

I knew Jimmy from college and always respected him and enjoyed his company. We studied together in college and worked at NASA together. I remember well how happy he was when he and Dawn returned to Lamar and their little apartment after getting married in 1962. Jimmy was always honest in expressing his thoughts on life and work and I very much respected his opinion on everything. While we did not have any contact with each other after Marquita and I moved to California and they moved to Colorado, I always considered them friends.
God Bless Dawn and her family in this time of sorrow and just know that Jimmy is in a better place with God.

I worked with Jimmy in the Aerospace industry for a couple years. I remember I was coming back from lunch one day and there were these two guys in the parking lot trying to change the wipers on a car. They were having some problems with it. I told them they needed to get one of the engineers out there to help them. Jimmy looked at me and with a straight face said, "We are engineers". It was pretty funny. He was a very nice man and always had a smile on his face. My sincerest condolences to the whole family

My thoughts and prayers are with Betsy, Jimmy Jr, and all of the White family. Many years ago I had the opportunity to have a game of golf with Betsy and her dad Jimmy. It was a pleasure and honor to meet him. It was a good day.

I had the pleasure working as a contractor supporting Jimmy in the 60s at the Space Center in Houston. I also had the honor of working with Jimmy just prior to his retirement from the aerospce community and his return to the Brazosport area. Jimmy was always a genuine person with high ethics and regard for those with whom he worked. The entire family is in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
