Jin Hon "Faye" Louie Obituary

Jin Hon "Faye" Louie, 84, of Colorado Springs, Colo., beloved husband and father, passed away on April 17, 2013. He was born in Taishan, China, on Aug. 14, 1928. He immigrated to the United States in 1952. Jin, with his father and two brothers, owned and operated The Grand Café (1929-1998), the first Chinese restaurant in Colorado Springs. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mei Lei Louie; loving children, Sueann Dang and Raymond Louie; and his brother Chew M. "Gene" Louie. Jin enjoyed taking morning walks with his brother Harry, traveling with his family, tasting new foods and cuisines and playing the greyhounds and ponies. Visitation will be Friday, April 26, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Swan Law Funeral Directors. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Swan Law Cascade Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs. Burial will be immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Jin; Husband, Father and Friend, we'll miss you.
