Joan Gasser Obituary
Though her memory was unmercifully stolen from her, we will always remember her for her gentle spirit, her caring nature, and her devotion to God. She was a quiet unassuming rock in our family who always put others before herself.
Joan was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother. She leaves behind six children; Mike (Juvi) Gasser, Paul (Kim) Gasser, Ray (Heather) Gasser, Teresa (Rich) Fletcher, Linda (Brett) Moore, and Laura (Ben) Hoelting: and eleven grandchildren, Matthew, Cailyn, William, Rachel, McKenzie, Lauren, Brooklyn, Eli, Amanda, Zach and Morgan. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom of 57 years, who passed away in July, 2012.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 10 from 6:00 - 7:30 followed by a Rosary at 7:30, Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Joan's life will be held on Monday, November 11 at 10:00 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church; 2318 N. Cascade Ave., with a reception to follow. A private burial will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
We would like to thank the Emeritus at Bear Creek Memory Unit team who cared for Joan during the last few months.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church or Saint Mary's High School.

Dear Teresa and family,
Joan was a lovely person who I am SO glad that I got a chance to meet. She had a gentle spirit and a ready smile and I know you are missing her greatly. But I always remember what my dear mother said someone shared with her when her mother didn't know her (and later my mother didn't know me): "she knows you in spirit". May that be of some comfort in this time of loss. Holding you all in my heart and thoughts. Many warm hugs beaming your way.
