Longtime resident of Colorado Springs, Joan Jeffries, passed away on October 20. Joan was married to Forrest Jeffries in 1948. They shared 72 happy years together. Joan was a wonderful housewife and mother who enjoyed sewing, gardening and many vacations boating on Lake Powell.
Joan was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and spent her life sharing the good news of God's Kingdom with many others.
She is survived by daughter, Jolie Hawkins (Steve), grandsons, Matt Hawkins (Alesha), Trevor Hawkins (Kristy), five great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held November 1, at 4 pm, at the Crestline Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 720 Crestline Drive and also via Zoom.

She was a wonderful friend and sister. Worked together in the ministry often. She could start a Bible study so easily. She shared several with me.They were great neighbors. Many memories, which included Lake Powel. Look forward to her and Forrest being young and vibrant soon.
