Mateyak, Joan FrancesJoan Frances Mateyak, 78, of Allentown died Sunday, August 3, 2014 in the Health Care Center at Luther Crest, South Whitehall Township. She was the widow of John G. Mateyak. Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Frances (Chaballa) Kalinak. She was a 1953 graduate of Coaldale High School and a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Orefield. Joan was a devoted wife and mother. She treasured her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family was her life. Survivors: Daughters, Joan wife of Charles Takacs of Orefield, Barbara wife of Keith DelPrete of Coopersburg; sons, John Mateyak and his wife Diana of Atlanta, GA, Kenneth Mateyak and his wife Gayle of Andreas; brother, Michael Kalinak and his wife Michelle of Whitehall; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
