Joan McCormick Obituary

Joan M. McCormick went to be with the Lord on March 9th, 2006. She had been a resident of Colorado Springs for the past 48 years. Joan was born June 12, 1926 in York, Nebraska. She was a graduate of York College. In 1947 she married Jack McCormick who preceded her in death in 1992. She was a devoted mother and was blessed with five children: Rev. John D. McCormick of Broomfield, Susan Pamperin and husband, John of Colorado Springs, Patrick McCormick of Littleton, William McCormick and spouse, Carol of Alaska and Charles McCormick (deceased). Five loving grandchildren survive her: Karin and Allison Pamperin, Christina Landrum and Serena and Jonathan McCormick. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m., Monday, March 13, 2006 with Mass of Christian burial following at 10:00 a.m. at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 901 N. Logan Ave, Colorado springs, 80909. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs. Memorial contributions may be made to the food pantry at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church.

Dear John,Sue,Pat,Bill and family,

Joan, your mom will surely be missed by many.I will always remember her kindness to all who knew her,and the great peanut-butter sandwiches she would make Bill and I when we were little kids.God bless and keep you strong during this time of your loss,and always keep the good memories close to your heart.A part of Joan will live on in each of you until one day you will reunite.Also the Mass was very beautiful.Joan and Jack McCormick can be very proud of their four children that grew up and became good,loving adults.
