Joan A. Peat, 75 passed away on Wednesday June 28th, 2023. She was born in Gloversville NY and resided in Colorado Springs CO.
Joan was a hard worker and wore many hats over the years. She worked in factories where she ran things and took charge. She was a cross country big rig driver and loved telling stories about it. She also loved her time as a member of the Leatherwings and being the club photographer and cruising her Harley.
Joan will be remembered for her giant heart and personality. Joan loved with every fiber of her being. She was honest and caring. Always there to listen and help in any way that she could. A shoulder for everyone she loved and held close. She loved to host gatherings and ensure that everyone had delicious food and great memories. The queen of BBQ!
Joan was one of many children born to Melvin and Rose Dwyer. They raised their family in the Johnstown area. Her parents preceded her in Death, as well as her sister Sandra Cromling and her brother Louis Dwyer.
She is survived by her loving husband Jim Peat, her son Aron (Sue) Aguilera Sr, her grandson Aron (Stacey) Aguilera II, her siblings John Dwyer, Richard (Bea) Dwyer, Matt (Melody) Dwyer, Benjamin (Joan) Dwyer, Jane Dwyer, and Terri (Bob) Lane and countless nieces and nephews and her Sadie girl.
Please Join us July 12th at 2pm at Cappadona Funeral Home to celebrate this wonderful woman's life. We will have a gathering to follow the service at 3405 N Institute St.
