Joan Williams Obituary

Joan Lee Williams (81), passed away on April 20th 2015. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for 48 years and was formerly a resident of Canton, Ill. Joan attended Canton High School and graduated in 1952. While going to school, she worked at the Garden Theathers. Later on Joan worked at Kroggers and then was a Loving Wife, Mother and Homemaker.

Joan was born in Farmington Illinois on January 10, 1934 to Cyrus Lee Johnson and Emma (Bowton) Johnson. On April 3, 1954 she married Rowland L. Williams and they travelled many places in the world on behalf of the United States Air Force.

Joan's passion was showing her Miniature Schnauzers. She and her husband enjoyed traveling around the United States to various Dog Shows. She acquired numerous champion dogs and made a reputation as "Jollee's Miniature Schnauzers".

She is survived by her loving Husband, Rowland L. Williams; her children: Elizabeth Ann Hothan, Karen Sue Williams, Jennie Lynne Deputy; her Grandchildren: Adam, Tana, Lisa, Sarah, Logan, Nathan and Great Grandchildren and her brothers Cyrus Lee Johnson III and Lloyde Allen Williams Jr.



A visitation will be held at 9am following the Memorial Service at 10am on Wednesday April 22, 2015 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910 (719) 634-1594
