He is survived by his loving wife, daughter Kathryn A. Davis (husband Michael) and Richard E. Beard, both of Colorado Springs. He is also survived by his three grandchildren: Lauren, Aidan, and Katie Davis. They will remember him as a loving and supportive husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his entire family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Donald and Gordon Beard and a sister, Guinevere.

Since retiring in Colorado Springs, he had been an active member of ORBS, serving as administrator of their golf league for several years and also as secretary-treasurer of their bowling league for a number of years.
