Joe Ryder Clark, 97 of Colorado Springs, Colorado, formerly of Toledo and Defiance, Ohio, passed away at his home on April 7, 2022. Joe was born in Bradner, Ohio on October 24, 1924 to Lincoln and Helen Clark, and grew up in the Toledo area graduating from DeVilbiss High School in 1942. He was a World War II Army Veteran serving from 1943-1946. He attended the University of Toledo where he met his future wife Carole Samberg. They were married September 9, 1950. Joe worked for Johns-Manville Corporation in Deflance, Ohio and was transferred to their World Headquarters in Littleton, Colorado in 1974. He retired in 1983 after 32 years. They moved to Colorado Springs in 1994. Joe was a Past Master of the Omega Masonic Lodge in Defiance, Ohio and was an avid golfer. He is survived by daughters Marcia (Harry) Wiebe of Paulding, Ohio, Deborah Clark-Cooper, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and son Michael Clark of Centennial, Colorado. He is also survived by six grandsons: Alexander Wiebe, Thomas (Danielle) Wiebe, Douglas Cooper, Zachary (Julie) Clark, Chase Clark, Ryder Clark, four great-grandchildren, and sister Billie Jane Schaeffer. He was preceded in death by his wife Carole. Burial will be in the Pikes Peak National Cemetery.
