Missing your smile, laughter, and friendship. You were too young to depart from us but we know God made a special place in His loving arms for you. Our wonderful memories of times shared keep you here always with us.

Joel was kind, funny, creative, and a pleasure to have known. He lighted up our home when he was around. Heaven shines brighter having him there. Blessings to all.

Its been nine years without your spirit of fun, laughter, smiles, and mischief. You, Robbie, and Billy - well, I guess there are no words except to say I miss those days. I feel honored to have been a small part of your life. We all speak of you often and the joy you spread.

Joel was my good friend at Coronado high. He always left me laughing and I have fond memories of him. I moved away but never forgot him and every now and then tried to find him online. I never figured I would find him here. Rau family I am so sorry for your loss.

I have thought of you often during the past few days. I do hope you have been blessed by all the prayers and love sent your way. You are truly amazing people...each and everyone of you!

He was a truly wonderful and gracious friend. I have nothing but the fondest memories of Joel. He always had a very sweet nature about him and genuine kindness for others. I have sooo many wonderful memories of Joel, he has always had the ability to make everyone around him smile. He has been and always will be one of my favorite people. Even though we didn't keep in touch all of these years he was always with me! He was just one of my brothers that always looked out for me! I love him and miss him forever!

From the age of 16 until I was 25 I can honestly say Joel was my very best friend. We always joked if he'd have fit in the dress he'd have been my maid of honor. There was never a time that sweet man couldn't make me laugh and lift my spirits. Rest in peace joelus you are loved and missed!

Joel had an impact on people, he was always so glad to see you, whoever you were. I will miss you bud and never forget the all nighter D&D games in your basement or you chasing Alan around the house back in high school. Peace man and sincere condolences to the family.

There are so many fond memories of him and he still makes my smile in my thoughts. I wish so much time hadn't passed before I saw him again but I will treasure it forever. Joel was my best friend at Fremont Elementary School and at Russell Jr. High, but we drifted apart after our senior year at Coronado. That was so very long ago. I have thought of him throughout the years however, and now I wish I could have spoken to him one last time. I hope he is at peace.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

I remember Joel had such energy and a passion to be the best. Truly a great man. He will be missed by all who were blessed to know him.

Joel was a good dude (Using one of his favorite words to describe him) I really enjoyed working with him back in the day on B-shift. Always in such a great mood and easy to talk to and work with.
