You were my favorite Real World cast member. I just found out you passed when I saw your picture on TV the other day when they were talking about the country singer who committed suicide. God Bless you Joey. I could see you needed help when you were on the Real World. No more worries now. Still a fan in Philadelphia.

I am so sorry to hear of his passing......stunned actually....A few months ago he was supposed to make an appearance at the Grayslake Antique Flea Market.....and he did not show up...and I was so worried when he missed that event, I knew in my heart something was going on with him....he had several fans waiting to meet him that day....but he never showed up.

I wish for peace for the Kovar Family and comfort at this terrible tragedy.

well first of all i remember when i first met his mom about 7 years ago. She was so nice and we became friends. She was at work one day and i went through her line and she gave me a picture of joe. I said damn he's hot. I remember when she told him about me and he wanted to meet me. I even remember our first talk on the phone. I am thankful for getting to know you and I am really gonna miss you so much. I really do love you.

Despite your crazy schedule, you dropped what you were doing every time to answer my calls or my texts when I needed someone to chat with. You made me laugh with out stories about our favorite wrestlers, your impressions of Macho Man, Goldust etc. I still have all the videos you sent with your impressions and they will continue to make me laugh.

I thank you for blessing me with your friendship, it's something that can never be replaced. You were a great father, son...and the greatest friend someone could have. You were never "Hollywood" when we talked, you were Joe and that always stuck. You weren't "real" as people would expect..you were REAL. Joey...You were one of my first friends as a child. I'll always remember playing with our Pee Wee's playhouse toys and watching King Kong together. I wish we would have kept in touch more over the years but regardless, I'll never forget you. Rest in peace.

One more match brother!

I met with Joe on Aug. 10th to discuss a benefit for my mom. He offered to help in whatever way he could and had a lot of great ideas he wanted to share with me. I went into his backyard where he was cleaning things up and making it look awesome for his grandparents. He gave me the biggest hug and we talked about his ideas to help. He said he wanted to meet and talk to my mom so he could have a better understanding of what we were going though... WOW.

After talking about mom for a bit we talked about him. He was in great spirits and excited for what his future held. He told me he wanted to tell me his story of the past year and all he had been through. It was amazing. There was one thing that stood out to me though, especially after his passing.

He told me how 7 is God's number and how in looking back in his life he saw how key dates for him had a 7 in them. It was only fitting that it would be on the 17th he would find himself in the arms of his Heavenly Father.

Joe was an amazing man. He struggled in life but pushed forward. He encouraged me, believed in me and supported me.

Joe I will always have a special place for you in my heart and will think of you in moments when I need strength I will think of you and as much as you struggled you always tried.

"You once told me Courage doesn't always start with a roar but sometimes is a whisper at the end of the night saying I will try again tomorrow."

As I go forth in my life I hope to remember those words in times of weakness.

Like many others I didn't know Joey personally, but I knew his story. He opened his life up to the world. I often wondered how he was doing, and prayed for him too. His story really touched me and many others. It's really sad. He will never struggle with any addiction of any kind anymore. He is with our Lord and savior. May he rest in peace. My prayers go out to his family and may God give yall peace. Remember his smile and all the good times.

It was such a shock to hear of you no longer being on Earth. You looked so alive and like as if nothing could happen to you. You fought the hard fight. You were inspiration to people to face this disease of addiction. You were too precious to go. Its a great loss. You will be so very missed until everyone sees you again in heaven.
