John Arends Obituary

Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family. John Arends showed the house we bought here in Briargate 21 years ago. We still live here. He made an impression on us.

Hello Judy and Girls,

I am so sorry for the loss of John. I met John back in 1978, I was just newly married, became a manager for two small apartment buildings behind the YMCA in Mankato which he shared ownership. Then in 1979, he sold us our first home on Byron Street. I lived in that home for 18 years. He let the home sell itself, no pressure. His philosophy should be noted by all in realistate. Allow the buyer to find out if they love the home, only provide good information as needed. I remember both of you well, fine loving people, and felt Mankato missed something when you left to move to Colorado. My daughter Alyssa has been living there now for almost two years in Highland Ranch.

I hope Judy that you get these messages from this on-line guest book ? Please let me know how you are doing. Keep it going for a year, it will be worth it too...

Our deepest sympathies to his family and co-workers. We never met John but our realtor, Kevin, talked highly of him. We were treated like family when we bought our home. I can tell the community will miss him dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who knew John.

Judy We always remember John with affection.He helped us buy our house in North Mankato. I have a picture of him as a purple people eater at a Sertoma Convention. You and the girls are in our thoughts and prayers.Judy and John

I am sorry I did not know John. He
is my cousin. My Mother was Hazel Arends Benson. I just know how hard it is to part with a sibiling and my thoughts and prayers are with all the family.

While I didn't know John personally, I had the pleasure of knowing and working with two of his girls; Heather and Tiffany. My heart goes out to both of them and his entire family during this most difficult time. Take comfort in knowing that he's at peace.

I knew John when he worked in Mankato, Mn as a realtor. He was always a joy to work with in helping to finance his clients. John was sure a gentlemen. My deepest sympanthy to his family.

I had the pleaure of knowing John in Mankato during the 70's. John was a special and thoughtful person. Our prayers are with him and his family.

John and I were cousins who grew up near Alexander, Iowa, the home of our grandparents, John C. Arends and Anna Bode Arends. Cousin John, whom we all knew as Johnny, enjoyed a special place among the grandchildren because he was Grandpa Arends' namesake. Johnny's father, Henry, and my mother, Edna Tucker, were brother and sister. Johnny and I lost direct contact through the years, but I have wonderful childhood memories of him. The Tucker cousins (Muriel, Bonnie, Barbara and I) share your grief and send our deepest sympathy.

My Mother was Hazel(Arends) Benson.

We would like to extend our thoughts & prayers to all of John's family, friends and associates. John sold our home last month and helped us contract on building our dream home. He truly was a pleasure to work with! We know he will be deeply missed.

We were saddened to hear the news of John's passing. He would bring joy to a room with his recognizable burst of laughter. He practiced a life of good ethics and lived the meaning of the Golden Rule. He'll be missed.

I am very sad to lose my cousin, John Arends. We are the same age and played together when we were little in Iowa. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Judy, and your daughters as you grieve the loss of a wonderful husband and father. I was so sorry to hear of John's passing. He was much to young but left such a positive indelible mark on so many. Grab on to the good times and never let them go.

Judy...I remember the day John surprised you with the biggest bouquet of flowers and a birthday surprise of a limo ride with girlfriends to help you celebrate a birthday.......what a sweet,loving man to enjoy the thought of making you happy. I am thinking of you and your family.
