John Beverly Obituary

" God granted John his wings" on September 30 in Galveston Texas while battling complications from a kidney transplant. John was born in Newark, N.J. on November 1, 1956 to the late James and Barbara Beverly. He relocated to Colorado Springs 1986.

John was employed by Colorado Springs Health Partners for 20 years. He was an avid NY Giants and Yankees fan, animal advocate and enjoyed classic cars and riding his Harley. In his spare time you could find him embroiled in a game of billiards.

Valerie, his wife of 34 years grieves his loss as well as one sister in New Jersey and a sister and brother in Vermont, his two four-legged children, Eli , Lily and Chica and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention.

Johns life would seem too short by many, but those who were touched by him understand that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His quick wit and keen sense of humor brought so much happiness to everyone he met and leaves a void in the lives of his loved ones.

John's wish was to be cremated.

Donations may be made to the Humane Society.

John was my brother and a surrogate father to me for over 30 years. God broke the mold when he created John. He lit up every room he has ever walked it and let an impression on everyone he's ever met. He was truly an angel on earth. Now he is back home in his kingdom. John will forever live in our hearts. Love you to infinity and beyond John Boy!

To my Uncle, I will remember you as the tall bushy haired guy that bore the name of Big John for many reasons but your personality was the biggest of all. You are loved, missed and never forgotten. I will not say goodbye but I will say see you later. I love you. Till then, keep the sun to your back and your fist in the wind.... (2 fingers) ride easy my brother.

I always remember John as that head strong, outspoken comedian; he could slap you with the truth one minute and have you rolling with laughter the next. He left us far too soon and leaves a void no one else can come close to filling. He was more than a brother-in-law, he was my brother. He will be greatly missed. RIP, John and save me a seat at your table.
