John Francis Cogan Jr. obituary

John Cogan Obituary

On March 2, 2015, in Colorado Springs, John lost his long courageous battle recovering from a fall. He was born 61 years ago in Omaha and moved to Woodland Park, CO nearly 20 years ago. He loved his family and friends, living in Colorado ("God's country") an Nebraska football. He had a keen sense of humor and fun.

He is preceded in death by his father, John F. Cogan, and his stepfather, Orlin I. Wahl.

He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Cogan Wahl; his daughters, Liz Cogan (Tacoma, WA) and Marissa Archer (Fort Collins, CO); his stepson Cory Archer (Seattle, WA); sisters, Mert Clinkenbeard and husband Tom (Loveland, CO) and Eddy Butkus and husband Mike (Ralston, NE); nieces and nephews, Sarah and Alex Clinkenbeard and John and Pete Butkus (Aleeta); as well as many good friends.

Services will be held on a future date in both Colorado and Nebraska. We have faith that John is truly enjoying God's Country now.

John, Jerry Doll and I were very close friends during our years at Archbishop Rummel H.S. I'm very sad to hear the news of his passing and deeply regret not keeping in touch with him post high school graduation. Greg Collamer (Temecula, CA)

I knew John many years ago when he did some work for the world-herald in Omaha.
He had a unique sense of humor and was
a nice person. I know he'll be missed
by many. Rest in Peace John!
