I was privileged to meet and get to know Mr. Demers while working at The Medalion. He was such a joy to be in company with. I always remember him telling the ladies he met that he was an old man with hearing aides and whenever he came up to my desk he always laid his cane up on it. He was such a sweetheart!
My heart goes out to his family and friends. May you all find peace in knowing that heaven has yet another very special angel among us.
You are greatly loved and missed Mr. Demers and will never be forgotton...

I met John in 1999 when he moved to the Medalion retirement building. I worked there as a bus driver until the fall of 2002, during which time I got to know John as a wonderful, cheerful, interesting and delightful person. He was the kind of person you never forget and always wish more time could have been spent enjoying his company. During the nine years I worked at Medalion, John was one of the residents who made a lasting positive impression on me. Rest in peace John.
