John Dilwood Obituary

John Reed Dilwood, age 78, was born December 16, 1931 in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma to Richard and Cleo (Daniels) Dilwood and passed away April 25, 2010 in Desert Hot Springs, California. He served in the United States Army for 35 years and later worked as a Civil Service worker for 20 years in the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Mr. Dilwood also owned and operated a janitorial service in Colorado Springs for 25 years. He is survived by his five children, Richard Dilwood (Patrice), Patricia Dilwood, Carolyn Brodie, and Diane Phillips (Phil) and Cleon John Dilwood; brother, Kenneth Dilwood (Charlene); sister, Geneva Dilwood; 10 grandchildren, Bernita, Lemar, Joseph, Anthony, Keshia, Terrell, Jaleesa, Jordan, Summer, and Talija; and 7 great grandchildren, Ashley, Lemel, Isiah, Malik, Khaliq, Ashad and Wyatt. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 1, 2010 in Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs.
