John Greenlee Obituary

John was born August 23, 1938 in Colorado Springs. He graduated from Kersey High in Greeley, CO. He married Lucky Diane Lavely in 1962. He retired as a union carpenter working for G. E. Johnson and Gerald H. Phipps Construction. He belonged to the Izaak Walton League. John loved to hunt, fish, snow mobile and water ski. He also raced stock cars. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lalia Olson; father, John Greenlee, Sr.; granddaughter, Savannah Smith and a sister, Terri Froman. John is survived by his loving wife, Diane; a son, Jon Jon Greenlee; daughter, Michelle (Gerald) Smith; daughter, Vicki Greenlee; three grandchildren, Aaron Smith, Ally Smith and Angelina Greenlee and three brother-in-laws, Donald (Lori) Lavely, Floyd (Evelyn) Baker, Littleton, CO., Jerry (Carolyn) Baker, Duncan, OK. A tribute to his life for family and friends will be held at a later date.

I wish I could of seen Johnny one more time. I always remember him driving the boat so we could water ski--it made him happy to see us all having a fun time! I always looked up to my uncle Johnny. When I was a little girl, I remember watching him race at the stock car races and I would jump and yell GO JOHNNY! He loved his family so much.
