John Hembrey Obituary

John R. Hembrey, 78, of Canon City, CO passed away February 15, 2010, in Pueblo, CO. He was born November 14, 1931 in Colorado Springs, CO to the late J. Raymond and Ruth (Patton) Hembrey. He married Denise Dinkelman on September 8, 1957 in Turlock, CA. She preceded him in death in October, 1996. John moved to Canon City from Wichita, KS. He was a member of the Canon City Rotary Club, Pueblo Sunsational Chorus of the Barbershop Harmony Society, National Railway Historical Society, and Colorado Springs Pikes Peak Theater Organ Society. He was also a member of St. Aiden's Anglican Church of Colorado Springs. John is survived by three children, Glenda (Ray) Morrissey of Monument, CO, Doug (Heather) Hembrey of Manassas, VA, and Russ (Carla) Hembrey of Broken Arrow, OK; five grandchildren, Meng Sha, Karla, Beth, Becca, and Paul. Memorial Services and inurnment will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Christ Episcopal Church in Canon City, CO. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at 1445 N. Union, Suite B 100, Colorado Springs, CO 80909 or the charity of the donor's choice.
