John and I crossed paths early in life. We were so young and impressionable especially regarding religion. It was back in 1973 when we met at the Watchtower Farm while performing religious volunteer work in upstate NY. We became friends instantly. We were both from NC and he was such a genuine person. Our lives have taken different paths as often the case. But I will always remember the genuine smile and sincere interest in others. May God bless him and his family!

I will miss this man I have called my friend for many years. He sold me my first 2 houses in Fayettevile and was the only man who could call me Dawnie and get away with it!
His family was John's greatest possession and couldn't have loved them more. He was an honest and sincere man that I spent many times with while he was in Fayetteville. He always called and would stop by when he came home. John was one of the good guys....I wil see you again John. Much love and peace!

It has been said......"That People will not Remember What You said, but How You made them Feel with What You Said".....I know John was A Good Man who cared for his Wife and Family.....Loving the Lord and taking his role in Leading his Family seriously.
He served others and the Lord in WHATEVER Capacity he was given, both inside the Church and Outside. A man who took care of his Business Clients desires and Worked hard on their behalf....and Helped others with Business Referrals based on the Need at the Time....
I was called for WHATEVER reason to be there When You breathed your Last and I Know You didn't Suffer....Perhaps that is WHY??? I was there that day....I have Great Memories of conversations about God's Kingdom and the Way you carried Yourself....No Matter What....We All have Our Shortcomings, that's for Sure.....but You will Always be Remembered as "A Good Man".....After God's Own HEART....IMO
Blessings and Comfort from the GOOD Memories and Not Any Bad Ones....
Your friend
