John Kirkpatrick Obituary

Jack, 79, departed this life Tuesday evening, November 3, 2015, after fighting a battle with Alzheimer's. He was born in Salmon, Idaho on August 29, 1936 to Margaret & Art Kirkpatrick. He grew up in Klamath Falls, Oregon where he was active in numerous 4-H projects and Jr. Rodeo President in Oregon in the 1960's.

Jack worked in numerous feed sales and retired from Colorado Agri-Feed in 2013 due to his health issues.

Jack is survived by his wife of 53 years, Merle; daughters, April (Robert) Cobb of Oregon and Tracy Kirkpatrick of Colorado Springs; granddaughters Sasha and Nathan of Oregon; great grandsons, Jerianne and Donald of Oregon; another granddaughter on the way; sister-in-laws Dana (Rich), Penny (Herb, and Karen (Con); and many nieces and nephews.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shaleen of Albuquerque; and granddaughter, Heath of Oregon.

His spirit and sense of humor will live on forever. Jack enjoyed fishing and going to Cripple Creek. Jack enjoyed his many customers and co-workers. He wants everyone to keep on smiling.

His wishes were to be cremated and a family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donation to Interim Hospice of Colorado Springs or the Alzheimer's Association.
