May God who knows your sorrow bring peace, comfort, and healing. And in God's Word may the family find the inner peace in knowing God cares and John is not forgotten, as Our Creator is readily found in times of distress. Psalm 46:1

To the Family and Close Friends of Jack Kraft. Our deepest sympathy for your loss. Jack's character is truly demonstrated by the heartfelt thoughts penned by those who loved him and knew him well. Be assured that his life story has been indelibly stored in God's memory as we all await the promised future of endless life in paradise. Hoping this family finds comfort through prayer, your love for each other, and the guarantee that Jack is indeed precious in God's eyes. His presence will be missed but never forgotten!

I wish to express my deepest sympathy to the Kraft family. I first met Coach in the 1970's when I was coaching high school basketball at Watervliet HS in upstate N.Y. I started working at Coache's summer camps at Green Lane, Pa. and followed him to URI for his summer camps. From the 1970's till two years ago we talked every Christmas morning when Coach returned from Mass. I always enjoyed our talks and the times we rehashed old basketball stories. During his years at URI my wife, son and I visited Coach and his wife and
had many cook outs at his Kingston home. What a beautiful family. His daughters always worked the summer camps. Coach was a great friend. Look in the dictionary for the word GENTLEMAN and you will see a picture of Coach. It was a great honor for me to be able to say Coach was a true friend. Joe Hogan, Albany, New York.

My deceased husband and I were blessed to have Jack as a friend.
Always pleasant, his beautiful blue eyes twinkled with joy and laughter shared.
Now in Heaven's Hall of Fame, he sits beside God on the Coach's Bench.

I spent many days in the balcony of the Villanova Field House watching practice. VU had a great team but very few players on their best team. Coach Kraft had a very different style of coaching. He very rarely stopped practice to correct players. He wanted his players to think on their feet and solve problems on their own while playing at top speed. He was not a yeller.....he was a teacher who everybody respected. I spent the majority of my life coaching football, and most of my duties were to drill the team during the week and once the game began ,they were expected to think on their feet. I picked a lot up from Jack Kraft just by watching his practices. He was so good for Villanova. Dennis Scannell Villanova 74
