John Link Obituary

John William Link, a Colorado native, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 1, 2014. He served honorably in the United States Army during Vietnam where he received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. He retired from the United States Postal Service as an auditor after 26 years of service.

John was born on November 24th in Pueblo, Colorado to Wilbur and Lula Mae Link. He married the love of his life, Marion Marra on April 9th, 1977 in Fowler, Colorado.

John was an amazing husband and father and especially grandfather, lovingly know as PAPA. His ultimate pleasure was taking his grandsons fishing. John loved watching the Broncos and attending as many of his nieces and nephews sporting events as possible. He was an active member at First Presbyterian Church and was an usher there for almost 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Marion; his daughter Kari (Sean) Tucker; his sister Janet (Willie) Lowther; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved grandchildren, Cannon and Palmer Tucker and Brittany and Alexa Link.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Link and his brother James Link.

Memorials in John's name may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice.
