One Year ago today my life changed forever,
I got the call to tell me, I had lost you, my only brother,
I wondered if at first, that I had heard it right,
but soon it was confirmed, you had left us in the night.
You departed suddenly from this mortal land,
leaving those that loved you, to travel hand in hand,
I know you left too early John, of that we all agree,
there were so many things we could have done, but alas, it was not to be,
we shall not forget all that you done, for family and many a friend,
and hopefully with the passing of time, those broken hearts shall mend
Your mischievous smile, your charming wit, your' helping hand we shall all remember,
As we raise a glass in memory of you, on your birthday, the first day of November.

You know I'm never lost for words but there really isn't any to describe how it feels to lose someone you love so much. You were always like a second Dad to me even before I lost my own only just a year before you left us too.

So many happy memories shared by everyone who knew you. Rarely do you meet someone who was loved by all but what wasn't to love? You were so funny, kind and generous, a great father and role model and a loving husband. You and Marion were the happiest couple I have ever known and I hope one day I will find what you had.

A great and true friend my brother in law John. Thanks for the wonderful times we had with your brilliant family. Also the happy times down the pub having a few pints of heavy. Even though you tried to wind me up sometimes I will forever remember your generosity and laughter and such a positive outlook on life. I never imagined i would be sitting here writing this to you...You were such a great uncle to me and more like another father. We shared so many good times here & in australia. These memories go back to when i was a young boy and will remain with me forever. Every thought and memory is of joy,fun,laughter and your cheeky grin.. You were such a positive influence on me and your kind nature will live on in my heart and mind untill i see you again up above.
You were a man of dignity,positivity and generosity.You are sadly missed by all of us. Though gone physically you are still here in abundance spiritually ...
