John Oliver Obituary

John Oliver, age 77, born June 10, 1940 in Hartshorne, OK to Phyllis and John Oliver passed away quietly in his home on July 1, 2017 surrounded by family. John proudly served with the United States Navy from 1958-61. He relocated from OK to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1963 with Metropolitan Life. John has also worked in the printing industry as a business owner, in sales and in estimating. Shortly after relocating, he married Margaret (Holwell) Oliver-Rayburn. The Springs is where they raised their 3 children; Troy (Roberta) Oliver, Heidi (Warren) Breakey, Nikole (Bryan) Relich and is where John has lived ever since.

In 1989 John was introduced to Claudia (Harrison) Oliver and her 2 children Donna (Dave) Bornhofen and David Harrison. They married August 12, 1994 and have been inseparable since the day they met. They have shared a life full of love, laughter and a mutual passion for traveling.

John is survived by his adoring wife and his previously mentioned children. They enjoyed 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren listed by age; Jason Jesse, Kiersten Bornhofen, Justin Lackore, Brandon Oliver, Kevin Bornhofen, Emma Lackore, Kaeli Oliver, Ryan Bornhofen, Paetyn Relich, Morghan Relich, Evan Breakey, Ryder Jesse and Wyatt Jesse. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Phyllis and John Oliver and his nephew, Jesse Oliver.

John was a beloved spouse, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend, He will be missed by all.
