I still think of Jack all the time. He had such an influence over me. His infectious smile, his grace and kindness and true support has carried with me always. I try to share that same influence with my skating students to this day. Jack made a difference in my life and I will be forever grateful

I will always have fond memories of Thankgivings in NYC as a child, with you and Betty, Billie, Ida, "Little Grandma, my Dad Danny, Mom , and Uncle Jimmy. It is sad those times are gone, but how grateful to have crossed paths with such wonderful souls. Of course you take it for granted as a kid and figure that's just the way it is for everyone. How fortunate we are for such a gift.

I remember Uncle Jack most from his Long Island days, when he arranged for Marty to teach Louis, Joseph and Kathleen Raffloer, children of Louis Raffloer, Jr and me, to ice skate.

we barely kept in touch when Jack moved to Colorado: he kept us apprised of his work with an annual phone call or Christmas card.
He chose to love and live and work in one of the most beautiful settings in the U.S.
I'm happy to have known him.

Great Uncle Jack was a wonderful story teller, as only someone who has lived such a rich life can be. He shared with his grand-niece and grand-nephew stories about the Raffloer family and about his life in skating, particularly his travels abroad. His sister Ida, my children's grandmother, had the same sweet smile that Jack had, and the same warm heart. My children were lucky to be related to both of them. Jack will be missed but always remembered -- and smiling in those memories.

Jack was a kind and gentle person. He had a way of making each and every one of us feel special. I have many great memories of Jack from my days at the Broadmoor. Jack coached my husband, Mark, and his sister, Melissa, for many years and he always made a point of keeping in touch with them throughout the years. A very special person indeed! We will all miss you Jack! May you rest in peace.

Dearest Jack, you showed respect for all, shared your love for skating with each of your students - and I was lucky to be one of those skaters, and your kindness was unmatched. Thank you for being my coach and mentor. You are already missed. I too will miss our long conversations, always so filled with news of the present and the past. XOXOXO

Donnie and I took from Jack as soon as he arrived in Colorado Springs in 1968 when we were very young. Our family ties go back to the 1940s professional show days, though. He was a lot of fun to take from and he choreographed many ice review group numbers that I was in, which were always beautiful. He will be missed.

Jack was always such a gentleman, in a world where that is getting more and more rare. He was always so encouraging to me as well as a great listener and shoulder to lean on. There won't be any more Jack Raffloers.
