John (Jack) William Schaefer

Jack passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family.
Survived by children, Jean, Jill (Brent), John (Lisa), Kathy, 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and companion Gloria Randol. Preceded in death by parents J. B. and Nell Schaefer, beloved wife of 64 years Vera Lockett Schaefer, and grandson Steven Holcomb.
Born in Alva, OK, raised in Pratt, KS, working the family ranch in Belvidere, KS. Moved to CO, owned a dairy farm and a motel. In 1952, established Schaefer Agency in Colo Springs.
Wife and family were his priority. An avid golfer (including a hole in one!), fisherman, youth sports coach, and traveler. Member of East Methodist Church, Kiwanis and Jaycees.
Jack will be remembered for his integrity, generosity, and wonderful sense of humor.
