My condolences to Phyllis, Scott, Krista, and Britt on Jon's death. I know the past three years have all been annus horribilis and you are very brave to go on to plan the memorial service in the way he requested. Over the past forty-plus years, Jon was a valued member of our family and his passing leaves an empty spot - but lots of wonderful memories. How many family Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners we shared together at each other's houses! I remember how much Jon loved being with family and friends, going around talking to relatives, children, cousins, even in-laws, and enjoying them all. Then he'd typically make a swoop through the kitchen to check on a tenderloin or start carving the turkey. And, remember the time we went skiing? Krista, about four, got off the trail and down into a ravine. Jon had to sidestep down and carry her back up, still screaming, under his arm. Do you remember how proud he was when Scott built his first house? How fortunate he was, also, to have a loving wife to care for him at home during two long years of awful medical treatments. And I'll treasure all the birthdays and new babies we celebrated together over the years. Despite the circumstances, we will all treasure these and more memories of him as part of our family (Ken always thought Mom loved him best) and take the best part away in our hearts.
All my love and sympathy,
Carol

Hopefully Jon is up there in heaven riding his Schwinn Corvette bike he worked so hard to buy as a child.
In some ways he was bigger than life. He was a great inspiration to me. I feel a real void without him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
I believe the way we never die is by giving a part of us to others whom it lives on within. I feel I received a part from Jon and through my memories he lives on. I am sure this is true of many of us. My life has been enhanced by knowing him and for that I am truly thankful.

I was so blessed to have known Jon not only as my employer but as a mentor and a friend. Jon provided new learning opportunities and was always supportive of every endeavor. The words, "I can't" did not exist in Jon's vocabulary. We faced challenges and we celebrated victories...Jon loved both.
People enter into our lives perhaps for only a season but always for a reason. I am so fortunate to have had Jon as a part of my life. He will be remembered always and will be greatly missed by many.
My heartfelt sympathy to Phyllis, Scott, Krista and families.

My uncle Jon was a giant of a man, the rock of our family and deeply loved. We will miss you so much and treasure the time we had with you, especially in the last 14 months. My deepest condolences to his angel and to Maurie, Scott, Audrey, Paige and Cullen Campbell as well as his dear brothers and sisters and their families who loved him and stood by him without fail during his struggle against cancer. He died with dignity and surrounded by love, just as he wished. Thank you Jon for all you did for my mother, Jacqueline Campbell, and our family.

A man of strength, a gentle bear.
A man of principle who always cared.
A man of courage who fought battles proudly.
A sensitive man whose smile spoke volumes.
A man who lived life to the fullest each day.
A man who helped others along his way.
A man who now gone leaves a hole in our hearts.
This man now in Heaven is in God's loving arms.
I am blessed to have known this extraordinary man, Jon David Campbell, and a better person for it. My sympathies to all who knew him and loved him.

We have lost a great friend and active community leader in Jon. Having served with him on many
community committees, he always
brought common sense and pride of
doing what was right for every
resident. That smile will always be
here and that twinkle in his eye
forever. To his family, thanks for sharing him with us all. May his light shine for all that follow in his steps.
