Jon A. Lynch passed away suddenly on Oct. 29, 2009 at the age of 67. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on March 26, 1942. Jon was the 5th of 6 children born to George Lynch and Ethel (McNab) Lynch. He is survived by sister, Judy West and brother Richard Lynch, both of Woodinville, Washington. Jon married Gloria (Gould) Lynch on Sept 17, 1972 and helped her raise her 4 children: Katherine Lloyd, Heather (David) Kopp, James Lloyd, Andrew (Sandi) Lynch. He was a grandfather to 18, his favorite role in this life. Jon had 33 years of federal service, mostly aboard ships as a cook through NOAA and Army Corps of Engineers out of Seattle. Jon and Gloria built a log home on Camano Island, Washington and lived there for 22 years before moving to Colorado Springs two years ago. Dear Jon- Im very sad I didnt get to say good-bye to you , but glad you got to see your kids and grandkids before your passing .I am very thankful to have had you as a father-in -law . You taught me alot about cooking and even chooseing to see past ones faults and understand what makes a person who they are, and find compassion for those who are sometimes hard to live with or enjoy.I feel you knew the lord in your later years and pray you are with him now ... None of us are perfect and we all grow up eventually {hopefully} and you had a very hard life and yet were blessed by choosing to grow up and change and serve our great God! .. for that I respect you, and I have alot of fond memories and memories of all your fabulous cooking and I thank you and Gloria for your love and support over the years and all the traditions you guys passed on to me that I was able to enjoy as a family throughout the years and that I will cherish all my life. I wish you strength in the Lord Gloria and you and all of your family are in my prayers ! I miss you all very much and will always feel as though you are my family although things are very different now . Take care and best wishes

Grandpa, I will greatly miss but certainly remember your great stories, the way you loved to chat and be friendly with strangers anywhere, the meals we shared together, and chin burns. I don't miss the actual chin burns too much, but I have fond nostalgia for the memory. Most of all, I will miss you. Thank you.

With all my love, Micah
