Joseph Micheal Bacho was born in 1930 in West Branch, PA. He was the youngest of 13 children of Paul and Mary Vargo Bacho.
Joe graduated from Barnesboro High School in June of 1948 and immediately enlisted in the Army. After a long career, he retired in 1974 in Colorado Springs as a Command Sergeant Major. Joe was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds he received during the Korean War. After retiring from the Army, he continued his employment. During his lifetime, he loved volunteering at the local soup kitchen and enjoyed his favorites hobbies, which included gardening, bowling and fishing.
Joe is survived by his wife, Pamelita Bacho, and his two children and their families as well as his stepson:
Daughter Patricia and husband Fred Knowles
their son Robert, wife Sarah, and son Wesley.
Son Joseph and wife Sue Ellen Bacho
their son Paul, wife Holly, and daughters Claire and Paige
their daughter Sarah and husband Jacob
Stepson Christopher Otrin
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, twelve siblings, and his wife Loretta.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Apostle's Catholic Church on Friday, September 16th, 2022 beginning at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity supporting veterans.
